College of Arts and Sciences students return to their seats after receiving their diplomas during the University of Washington's 141st commencement ceremony, held at Husky Stadium on Saturday, June 11, 2016. U.S. Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell was the program's featured speaker to the estimated 5,600 graduates and some 40,000 friends and family attending on Saturday.

According to the university, this year over 12,500 degrees were conferred, including more than 7,700 bachelor's degrees, more than 3,500 master's degrees, more than 500 professional degrees, 11 educational specialist degrees and more than 740 doctoral degrees.
