I'm a Seattle freelance visual journalist who favors humor and hustle. In pursuit of images, I've chased pants-less people through the airport, filed photos in a port-a-potty, and been hit in the face by an errant basketball (ow).

I'm currently a team photographer with the Seattle Sounders FC and am a regular contributor to large wires like Reuters, Getty Images and USA Today Sports. For Reuters, I recently covered the Tokyo 2020*(1) and Beijing 2022 Olympic Games. Other editorial clients include The New York Times, Washington Post, Associated Press, and Seattle Met Magazine. Commercially, I've produced imagery for clients like Microsoft, Starbucks, PEMCO Insurance, and the University of Washington.

Previously, I worked as a staff photographer at The Seattle Times, where I covered everything from local parades to breaking news or championship football.

My images have been recognized by the National Press Photographers Association, Asian American Journalists Association, the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi award and twice by the AP's Reid Blackburn Memorial Award. I was also part of the Seattle Times team that won the 2015 Breaking News Pulitzer for our Oso landslide coverage.

Available for freelance work in Seattle and beyond. Send me a note-- I'd love to work with you!
