Omar Faarah stands outside of his building at the semi-gated Lake Washington Apartments in Rainier Beach, Seattle on April 10, 2013. He and his father Gurey have lived here for about five years. Though Omar is friendly with many of the other children who live in the community, he spends most of his time with his father when he is at home. “I don’t play with the kids that much because they’re mostly younger kids, like 10 and under. I see them in the summer a lot. Or I see them on the weekends riding their bikes and stuff.”
