I'm a Seattle freelance visual journalist who favors humor and hustle. Most recently, I worked as a staff photographer at The Seattle Times. In pursuit of images, I've chased pants-less people through the airport, filed photos in a port-a-potty, and been hit in the face by an errant basketball (ow).
A partial client list includes Reuters, Getty Images, Associated Press, Seattle Sounders, Seattle Storm, KeyBank, Purina, Starbucks, the Chicago Tribune and The Globe and Mail. My work has appeared in The New York Times, Sports Illustrated, The Wall Street Journal, Time.com and most large news sites through the wires.
My images have been recognized by the National Press Photographers Association, Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi award and twice by the AP's Reid Blackburn Memorial Award. I was also part of the Seattle Times team that won a Breaking News Pulitzer for our Oso landslide coverage.
